Overland Trail Museum- Prairie School Reunion 2026

The Overland Trail Museum invites former Prairie School students, teachers, volunteers, and helpers to a Prairie School Reunion on Saturday, August 1, from Noon to 3 p.m. The reunion is part of the museum's Colorado 150 Celebration, and admission is free all day.
The museum is collecting Prairie School photographs and memories to share during the event. Anyone wishing to contribute is encouraged to call 970-522-3895 or stop by the museum before August 1.
The reunion will feature a free picnic lunch (while supplies last), candle dipping, butter making, root beer floats, and other favorite Prairie School activities. A special tribute will honor Paula Albrandt, founder and director of Prairie School, for more than 30 years of bringing Colorado history to life for local children.
Additional Colorado Day activities include gold panning, Print Shop demonstrations, squirt gun fights, and children's names and handprints on the museum's 2026 Time Capsule.
