"Christmas on the Prairie" Open House at the Overland Trail Museum 2023

Enjoy  a step back in time as you take a stroll through our beautifully decorated buildings and grounds.  Taste a roasted chestnut, listen to the beautiful sounds of Christmas music and warm up by the fire in the High Plains Education center with some hot cider and cookies.  All Christmas on the Prairie Open Houses are FREE to the public. 
Monday, Dec 4- Come take a ride on Santa's firetruck
Monday, Dec 11- "The Sounds of Christmas"
Local church choirs will lead you in the song in HPEC
Monday, Dec 18 - "A Taste of Christmas"
Local bakers will be offering up bite size Christmas treats!
Thursday, Dec 21-"Red Lantern Christmas Tour"
Gather at the side gate entrance and listen to the Red Lantern Christmas story while touring the museum by lantern light!
